About Us
Through hands on experiance, we, the students, are developing algae-based products, taking part in marine research, and impacting the environment by educating a variety of communities in our workshops.

Our vision - to educate and connect as many people as possible to the values of marine conservation, entrepreneurship and innovation. We strive to influence the local and global community, raise awareness of the importance of protecting the sea and its treasures, and create real change in the marine environment.

How do we do it?

Developing products from the sea
Making natural soaps from environmentally friendly materials and algae that we grew ourselves.
Research and Citizen Science – we participate in environmental studies and surveys as part of our collaboration with research institutes and academia. In this framework, students learn about marine ecology, marine flora and fauna, and survey methods.

Education and Entrepreneurship – learning management and marketing skills, turning ideas into products, and influencing the community through environmental education.
Workshops and raising awareness among the community – conducting experiential workshops on the benefits of algae for the environment and health.

How do we contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals?
We are Eco-Yam, a social business that connects the sea, sustainability, and young entrepreneurship.
Here we combine practical learning with entrepreneurship and innovation to create sustainable environmental solutions.
Quality Education (SDG 4) – We’re redefining what learning looks like. Marine biology isn’t just about memorizing facts; it’s diving into real research that makes a difference beyond the classroom walls.
Innovation (SDG 9) – We challenge the idea that you need advanced degrees to create solutions. Some of our best innovations have come from brainstorming sessions in high school.
Responsible Consumption (SDG 12) – We’re changing how our community thinks about products. Every sustainable choice we make ripples outward, creating a bigger wave.
Life Below Water (SDG 14) – This isn’t just an UN goal for us—it’s personal. The Mediterranean Sea is our home, its creatures are our neighbors, and we refuse to let any of them disappear under our watch.
Partnerships (SDG 17) – We’re building bridges between schools, scientists, businesses, and communities, proving that age doesn’t define your ability to lead meaningful collaboration.
